El Tejavan - December 16, 2001
At around 7:30 PM on Sunday, December 16, 2001, the Pierre Fire
Department was dispatched to was described as a kitchen fire at the El Tejavan
Mexican Restaurant.
Sioux Falls Live Burn Training
The weekend of May 12 and 13, 2001, several members of the
PFD ventured to Sioux Falls for training in the live burn facility

Controlled Burns
Can't burn 'em in town, but we do get a burn in the county every
now and then. These pics are from two different controlled structure burns in
early 1998. Can you believe that people actually pay us money to burn stuff down
for them?
A Visit to Spencer
On the night of April 1998, a huge tornado practically decimated
the entire town of Spencer, South Dakota. More than 5,000 South Dakotans turned
out to help clean up the mess and start Spencer down the road to reconstruction.
Six PFD members made the trip and brought back these photos.
